IT STARTED IN A CLASSROOM

While attending Vanguard College Preparatory School, Ema Mathis took a World War II and Vietnam history class that changed the way she thought about veterans. Their stories of courage and sacrifice left a lasting impact.

Ema wrote "Ema the Patriot Cowgirl: The Power of Thanks" to help younger children understand gratitude, kindness, and that they are never too young to make a difference.
